VSM at BIEMH 2018
ACTIROX and ILUMERON impress visitors in a live demonstration
The new VSM ACTIROX fibre disc AF890 was the first abrasive to be experienced live in Hall 3, Stand F-29, of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Existing customers and other interested visitors from the metalworking and metal processing industries in Spain were able to witness the high quality of the new generation of abrasives on a grinding table. VSM ACTIROX is based on geometrically shaped ceramic grains, which break down consistently and selectively, continuously producing fresh and sharp cutting edges. This technology sets new standards for the machining of superalloys, stainless steel and carbon steel with respect to grinding speed and stock removal.
Another product innovation, which was introduced using a robot, was the new VSM ILUMERON abrasive belt RK700X. The new long-term grinding and polishing abrasive stands for fine and technically consistent surfaces, from grit size 180. There are no "random" scratches and grinding and polishing can be done in one single operation. "Our visitors were immediately impressed with the outstandingly high gloss levels of ILUMERON", stated Sergi Pitarch, Managing Director of VITEX ABRASIVOS, the Spanish Representation of VSM. "Both grinding booths and their products were very much welcomed by the trade show visitors", commented a delighted Pitarch on what has been a successful trade show for VSM in the Basque capital.
The next BIEMH is scheduled for 25 – 29 May 2020, and VSM plans to be there again.
